Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Boca Raton is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Boca Raton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Tooth fairy mobile started on the wrong foot!! Our first appointment was scheduled to begin after 12 pm, the dentist and aide showed up at 8:30 am. Being that my spouse is bedridden and on hospice care, she doesnβt get up until 11:00 am, I have asked the dentist to return after 12. The dentist and aide returned about 3:00 pm. They insisted that I have a power of attorney, since we are not married. They rescheduled the appointment for Monday after 12:00pm. Again, they showed up at 10:30am!!! We woke Carol up to pull three teeth! They rushed through the procedure and left shortly after 11:00am!! No pain medication, other than advil, no antibiotics, just gauze pads. The dentist said they will return tomorrow for a checkup, Iβm still waiting!!! I understand and agree with the bill, but the service was terrible!!! Not recommended!!!

We waited from 1-7 pm. The dentist made recommendations, some ridiculous & others in the best interest of a healthy person's mouth. Garry was not cooperative despite being medicated. The x-ray tech was totally unqualified. She had to go back to her car 3 times & lost what she entered into the computer & had to redo it . She was not able to get even one slide done. The dentist had to tell her where to place the object b/c she was not putting it where it needed to be. I feel a professional x-ray tech might have accomplished the job. My husband has dementia & I wanted his teeth x-rayed & filed down. We waited 6 hours & nothing was accomplished, I feel ripped off & I would like a refund or at least a good portion of the fee. If not, I will make sure I pass on my experience with other facility family members & the Alzheimer's Support Network in Naples, FL.

I am extremely disappointed with my families experience at this office. My mother called to schedule a cleaning and X-rays and was quoted $395 for the services. However, after the appointment, she was charged $615 which is a significant difference from what was originally communicated. When a patient calls and is given a quote, that number should be honored unless additional services are clearly explained and approved beforehand. At no point was it made clear that the cost would increase by over $200. To make matters more upsetting, my father is currently under hospice care. This is already a very difficult and emotional time for our family, and unexpected charges only add unnecessary stress. Transparency and integrity in billing are extremely important in healthcare. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company.

There appear to be no problems with the actual dental work. There have been problems with communication. Because I am usually in Chicago, and my father is in FL, I don't always know if the service was performed. I have not received timely calls and I have not received receipts. In some cases the person who calls doesn't know what services were performed on my father. Overall I think the service is good, but there are issues.

Excellent service from start to finish. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, and the dentist was gentle and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. The clinic is clean, modern, and very professional.
